A joint event by the Northern Arizona Jaguar Club and JCCA brought about 20 people to the mysterious Mystery Castle on South Mountain in Phoenix. "Mysterious," they agreed, and then headed off to lunch at The Farm.

Jaguar is jumping into the electric car business with a sharp-looking crossover called the I-PACE, which they say will be available next year. Jaguar describes it as an all-wheel-drive, 400HP, five-seater with a range of over 220 miles. The company says the I-PACE will hit 0-60 mph in around 4 seconds and will reach 80% charge in 90 minutes with a 50kW DC rapid charger.

Here's a link to the company I-PACE site.

The weather, the route, and the rallyists were all top-notch for the Rally to the Ferrings'. Nobody got seriously lost and they all found their way to the Ferrings' house in the historic Willo neighborhood in Phoenix for Burgers & Beer and debriefing.

Robert and Debbie Bronstein won the rally on a tie-breaker.

At one point, the rallyists were instructed to stop at the TreeTop Bakery, show a wristband, and pick up two cupcakes each. Dessert!

In spring of 2016, JCCA presented a hugely successful International Jaguar Festival, headlined by an awesome array of Jaguar cars. Now, a year later, here's a chance to revisit that experience.

Carroll Lam shot pictures and some video and put together this presentation:

Lots and lots of people worked very hard to make JCCA's AGM and International Jaguar Festival (IJF) a great success (headlined by Robert and Debbie Bronstein) and when you registered for the event at the bespoke AGM-IJF website you saw the work of this year's Billiter Trophy winner for outstanding contribution to the club for 2016: Chris Gill.

Chris is the one who created the website and made it work. He's also the one who spent most of a week at the AGM-IJF with Carol Capano and others, handling registration, audio-visual, and anything else that might come up. Thank you, Chris!

There are two events for all British Cars at the Highland Games on Saturday and Sunday, March 4&5.

The Saturday one is more of a display than a show. There is no entry fee and no awards except for the Peoples' Choice Plaque. We invite the visitors to vote for the car/cars they like best by buying tickets to jot down the car numbers. The one with the most votes gets the plaque at the end of the day and the proceeds go to the Caledonian Society's scholarship fund.

Sunday is a show on the lines of the old Wheels of Britain. There is an entry fee and awards will be given. The classes etc will be determined by how many similar cars are registered by the cut-off date. The Peoples' Choice will start over again on Sunday.

People can register for one or both days, either way the owners will receive free admission to the Games and all the other activities going on both days. We will have our own grassy area upon which to park. There is 24-hour security with the Games area fenced off. If people wish to come both days, and plenty do, it is perfectly safe to leave the cars overnight. In fact we usually start taking ours down on set-up day, Friday, and leaving them there till Sunday evening. Never had a problem.

Get a Saturday information here and Sunday information here.

Rigo Duran knows how to throw a party... and a Bocce ball, it turns out. When a bunch of JCCA folks turned out for a party at Rigo's, he introduced them to the game that he's played all his life, since growing up in Argentina. (His brother was a champion at the game.)

Click here to see a slide show of some shots of the party, taken by Mike Ferring.
